You're sitting at church and the collection tray is coming around.
You grab your wallet and open it.
Then you realized that you spent it all last night. Now what?
Has this happened to you?
This has happened to me many times and not just this situation. There's been times when I just don't have as much as I would wish to donate. There's also times when I only have large bills—I can't just reach in the tray and get change, can I?
So my solution for this problem was, what if the church (Catholic for me) just create an app that can accept your donation digitally?
The only drawback I can imagine is people whipping out their smartphones during mass to donate, but this app would allow anyone to donate anywhere and at anytime.
Overall, I would imagine that this would result in an increase the amount that they collect. So why hasn't this happened yet?
